The vineyard Ried Haussatz has been one of the most valuable sites in Grosshöflein for centuries. This vineyard, which is located below Ried Point and also faces south, extends between 175 to 200 metres above sea level. Near the village it features deep soils, while the part bordering on the single vineyards Point and Neusatz is of medium texture and very chalky.
Blaufränkisch vines grow here in close proximity to the farmhouses. They benefit from the heat reflected by the village and can match the quality of the vineyard Ried Point, especially in dry years.
There are two Kollwentz Estate vineyards located here. Wines from Ried Haussatz are not sold under a vineyard name, but rather make up the greater portion of the cuvée Eichkogel.
